Kidney Transplant Websites

These are some of the best kidney transplant websites I've been able to find. If you know of others, please click on "comments" below to let me know.

United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS)

On the UNOS website, you can learn about transplant issues, read a glossary of transplant terms, learn about what UNOS does and how it was formed, and view press releases and download resources. There is also a long list of frequently asked questions.

The Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN), is the unified transplant network established by the United States Congress under the National Organ Transplant Act (NOTA) of 1984 to be operated by a private, non-profit organization under federal contract.

Donate Life

The official U.S. Government web site for organ and tissue donation and transplantation, www.organdonor.gov, is maintained by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Healthcare Systems Bureau (HSB), Division of Transplantation, an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
